is it still impossible to hide recent searches from google now?

sometimes when i use android, and i think how big of a company that has developed it, it amazes me the stupid decisions they make, and continue to make for years. one being not having the ability to show battery remaining as a percentage in the notification bar. i know they are slowly adding the ability to see it other way, e.g. double pulling the notification bar, but plenty users clearly have wanted this for years. seems like such a terrible lack of care on their part to not have added this yet when it's been modded into android since i can remember.

any way, rant over, i want to know if it's possible to stop the recent google searches from showing in google now? i don't want to disable them as i love the benefits of google now using my recent searches, but i do not want them showing up on my phone when i go to search for something else. too many times have i searched for something odd, and now i live in near constant fear each time i want to show off google now that someone will list.

i also do not wish to have to go delete each individual search that i've made. i just want that stupid card gone.

Not sure about the Google now question but you have been able to have a battery percentage icon for as long as I can remember

What? this has been an option in android for years :/ i have the percentage on my phone and my previous one.

Use something like InBrowser or an incognito Chrome tab when you are looking up midget porn

It has never been an option in Android, OEMs have added it though.

this. it's just one of those tiny silly things that i can't see why they've not added. getting the battery percentage was one of the first reasons i put a customer rom on my first android.

the things i search for shouldn't need incognito mode (imo that's for porn only) which is why i easily forget. for instance i had searched something along the lines of "rules for sleeping with an employee", next day i was with said employee on phone and when sat close together we went to search for a restaurant and the recent search was right there. All other google now cards you can disable. i just want this one card hidden and still have the benefits of google now knowing my search history
