Right for last 3 years ive used a BT Voyager 2091 router and a BT Wireless usb adapter and my internet worked perfectly, i could be downloading at 800+kb with out any slow down when i was surfin net, just perfect.

But then a month ago my router gave in so had to use my speedtouch router then a few days later my wireless adapter gave in to, so used a spare belkin adapter, now my internet decide's to only work when it feels like it, constantly loosing connection to my router, so i keep having to connect back up and filling in network key and all that, when im downloading something it'll go up to 550 kb then down to 1 then back up to 550 then back 1 constantly, which is annoying, and when im downloading something its near abouts impossible to surf the net, which is very annoying.

So im going to nip into purple shirt shop in a bit when i go into town, what do i need to buy a new router or a wireless adapter? never really heard of belkin so im blaming that up to yet.

Cheers

Edit: o and the connection is excellent (54/54mb) so its nothing to do with distance, plus there only about 5 feet away from each other

Try changing the wireless signal.

Could try new drivers/firmware for both devices. Id put money on it probably being the Belkin adaptor.

definatley update the belkins drivers, if no improvment change the wireless channels (try channel 1 then 6 then 11 or higher)

you should not be loosing the wifi key all the tim, windows normally remebers the settings and auto logs back on. are you using windows cwifi configuration tool or belkin?

If there is even the remotest possibility of being able to do it wired i would! just so much simplier and the performance increase.
