is it the wrong time to upgrade!!!

You can wait for stuff to be released or you can spend your moeny on whats out there right now, only you know whats best for you
I havent seen a release date for either the EVGA 780 6GB or 790's but if your not gaming atm no harm in wating

originally iv always wanted to get the 780 lightning but every time its mentioned in the threads everyone says stay away from them... its really one of the only cards i like.....are they really that bad?

i got caught on one of the 770 lightning's had it about a month and it dropped 100 euro...like so many other's got caught i guess! don't really want the same thing happen again......

not gaming until i sort some new card or cards out!

i guess there's a fair few looking to either upgrade or purchase something new...amd are out of the picture for me anyways...as iv got a 3d monitor....nvidia card only.

i guess a couple of more weeks wont kill me...if there is in fact new gpu's on the ready!

just to let you know AMD also have 3d support as well i have tested this on my 40" 3d tv and it is great, you dont need any special equipment like £D vision to get it to work neither the quality is great also you have the true sound tech for the new games coming out.

You also have to think AMD is now supporting a lot of the new games with Mantle you already have Thief and BF4 with Mantle support and there is already a list for games in the future the game plays shows up to a 25% increase in BF4 and up to a whopping 45% in Thief.

Yes Nvidia have there pluses but you are paying the extra for the same performance as AMD the R9 290 and R9 290x Are great cards for there money and i would consider looking at them and comparing them to Nvidias top card at the min.

Amd dont support 3d vision 2 do they?

wasn't sure where to ask this....so ill ask here... what happens with all the returned gpu's that people change there mind with(14 day return) full refund....

are they packed up again and sold onto the next buyer? or sent back to the makers?

If it's a perfectly working card, with no signs of damage, and all the gubbins in the box as normal... I doubt it would bother me. There must be a lot of customer returns which are in *perfect* condition.

In fact the DSR law is a pretty bad law in my book. "Buyers remorse" should never have been codified into law.

But as it stands, stores have to sell returns as B-grade and not new, so you don't have to worry about it.

it would bother me a lot tbh...if i paid for a new...and got a second one even with full warranty ....

but as you have said there sold as b-grade is fine...and you know before you purchase...

how often do weekly deals and daily deal come around on certain items? weeks/ months?

i think most if not all GTX 780's where on weekly deals about a week ago....would they be likely too be on weekly deals again any time soon?

or is it just random deals which might take weeks to be on deals again?

took the plunge and purchased a 780 lightning...arrived this morning...... really is a fantastic looking card.... i think ill end up getting another one in a few weeks times.....if there is no problems with this!!!

happy so far!!! :-)
