My current work PC is a Dell Optiplex 3020 with a Core i3 4130 (3.4GHz) CPU, 8GB DDR3 Ram, and a 250GB SSD. Running Windows 10 Professional.
My PC is connected to a gigabit network and all my files are on the server (including folder redirection for my desktop, documents, etc). The server is only a cheap Dell tower server with a Pentium Dual Core CPU.
Increasingly, I have noticed my PC struggling to cope with the work I need to do (often have numerous Photoshop files open, each of around 300MB), and I am wondering whether it's my PC that's likely to be the issue, or the server that the files are stored on.
I'd really appreciate some opinions as I don't want to shell out on a new PC if it's not needed.
