Is it time for Beards to be cool again?

There are two types of men in this world that use facial hair:
Bearded people - those who have something to hide. Flab/third first/facial disease/emotional insecurity/inferiority etc.
Moustache wielders - weird perverts who use finger guns and winking to signal women.

I have a short beard but only because without it I look about 12.
I went to the cinema once after shaving and got ID'd for a 15 rated movie

A friend of mine pulls it off but he's a big muscled biker type with long black hair. Me personally, it just irratates the hell out of my skin until I shave it off and also it makes me look ten years older which isn't great.

Who cares if they're 'cool' or not... Growing a full-facer is something every man should do at least once in their lives. I loved having one - pondering growing a new one now I'm free and single!

Beards have always been cool how do you think ZZTop became famous It was the power of the Beard!
My skin refuses to accept a clean shave everyday - i get a rash and spots. Thought it was something that would change as I got older, but at 31 it's still a problem.
I simply sport well kept permenant stubble in a goatee-esk style, rather similar to Will Smith I guess.
I might try investing in propper razor, soap and pay attention to the proper shaving method to see if this makes a difference.
In my experience this look hasn't been a problem for work (IT/Client related) or job interviews. It also doesn't seem to be an issue for the ladies.

I only work in I.T but I do a lot of sales/install stuff where I see customers and need to make a good impression
And a beard makes a bad impression?
I've always wanted a beard, and kind of have one going at the moment. I haven't shaved for about a week, and the itching is starting to really get to me.
My beard also comes in pretty patchy, with little bald spots either side of my mouth.
I will continue the growth, as I've been told that I could pull it off from what it looks like at the moment, but we'll see in 2 more weeks.

You have to have a load of stubble which looks crap before you have a beard

There is also to types of beard, patchy boy beards and full man beards.
Good old ZZ Top with two of the longest beards in the rock business.
