Yes the listed minimum spec is actually a dual core CPU. I think GTA IV is the first game to require that.
I just bought a Q6600 on the MM, will do a gaming and benchmark comparison against my E2180 at the same speed and see what differences there are. If insignificant i might just sell it on and should make my money back given the price of them just keeps increasing![]()

Why would a overclocked dual core use less electricity than a quad?
Overclocking dramatically increases the power consumption of a processor, and if the game or app didn't support the 3rd and 4th core of the Quad processor anyhow they would be using next to no energy as they would be idle.
