Is it time to ban LED Headlights

Even Harry complaining about the G turd wagon blinding everyone...

Something I notice in the comments there and increasingly elsewhere - the number of people who think they can just stick the auto-dipping on and leave it and/or moaning because they have to sometimes manually dip, possibly these approaches are part of the issue. Personally I still manually dip and see auto-dipping as a useful additional feature rather than something to rely on.

I hate it. Probably my biggest hate in recent motoring (except for the 20mph I hate more.) . I'm quite sensitive to light/dark changes. So I have to slow down in country roads when these come towards you.

Sometimes you're sure they are in high. But they aren't.

Really quite dangerous on back roads.

I'm getting flashed with my dipped on the Tavascan, but usually on uneven roads. I can't do anything about that.

I've stopped using the Matrix main beam, just manual on/off now because it's just crap, I get flashed ALL the time.

Maybe worth asking Cupra to check the alignment next time it's in for something, wouldn't be the first time a half arsed PDI has left a new car with misaligned headlights

Did it before Christmas as I had to take it in with a 12v issue, all within spec according to them. *Shrug*

I don't know if it's just in my region but I've started to find that the new LED street lights put out so little luminence (and are spaced so far apart in new developments) that it actually exacerbates how bright car headlights appear compared to the street lighting!

I've actually found myself now using full beam on my car in some residential areas when there's no other traffic because the street lighting is so poor. I realise I shouldn't but honestly some modern street lighting is shocking and borderline dangerous IMO.
Yup, you have to be standing directly below these stupid LED street lights or it's complete darkness :( Bring back the wonderful orange glow.
