Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
I have a trusty Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro (PCI card) of which I bought many moons ago when they where lots of money. I even managed to snag the front panel (championship series) at a later date from a not so trustworthy auction site.

I have never had any problems with drivers... with that card. However. I do have a current problem. I have moved on in the GPU department and I have bought myself a Sapphire 7970 ghz edition. The only problem is it takes the best part of 2 and a 1/2 slots. Therefore, this results in my beloved sound card being useless as despite all my fidgeting and wiggling I cannot manage to get my mobo to identify the card. Plus to mention that it wouldn't be that healthy for that GPU to sit on it the way it is. So I have 2 solutions, either, buy a new card! Or, try a pci e - pci adaptor.
