Hi guys.
I’m itching for another online game.
I currently have PGR3 and tiger woods 2006 to play online.
Even if the patch for COD2 arrives in the next 7 days is it all too late?
I’m eyeing up Ghost Recon 3 and that looks (from the vids) to have a good online experience. Also I guess when battlefield 2 arrives that should be awesome online.
These days I can’t justify £40/£50 on a single player game, it has to have multi-player for value for money.
So should I wait for ghost recon 3?

Ps- I know COD2 has great single player missions…..

Imo they're taking so long with these multiplayer patches or updates that by the time they arrive, the average gamers interest will have moved onto another game. Still awaiting the sodding kameo 'live co-op' patch that apparently is coming 'soon'.

I know how you feel. I never even got to try out CoD2 multi at all because I sent my disc back for a replacement due to a small crack. The game has been out of stock for ages and I'm still waiting for stock :/

I'm just trying to be patient for march to come.

I played COD2 multiplayer yesterday afternoon for about 3 hours and every game was lag free and full rooms. Must have just been lucky I suppose.

Personally I would wait for Ghost Recon TBH.
I havent yet managed to even play COD2 online at all since I got it. Tried last night (me and my bro where on chat and both trying to get in a server) after ten attempts each from seperate locations and only one connection successful (to a lag fest) between us we gave up :(

Why not get all 3. Call of Duty 2 is definitely worth having. If I wasn't so PGR bias I would say it's the best game on the Xbox360.

like i said mate i cant bring myself to pay £40/£50 for a single player only game. however maybe in a few months i will pick it for for £17.99.

Just playing through this on Veteran and I would have to say its one of the best games I have EVER played. Its intense but rewarding. Just completed the Tank Missions which I found quite hard.

Same, I am halfway through the final bit of Veteran and I have loved every minute bar the tank section. My favourite (also hardest) was claiming all 7 buildings in the town before climing the silo and sniping. That was awesome and VERY hard. Hill 400 was pretty easy, but cinematic. All very rewarding.

So you won't play great games such as: Kameo or Condemned? Nor would you play any games like Goldeneye, Zelda: OoT, Mario 64 or Final Fantasy VII. If you aren't buying any games based around a rock solid single player game then you are REALLY limiting yourself.

Oh, and I found CoD2 very good online.

i will play Kameo and Condemned when they fall in price all in good time.
as a rule (everyone to their own) i dont like any nintendo games.
i have sort of gone full circle as a gamer, i played quake1 online for 4 years solid then had a period of only playing single player games, but now that the superb "Live" is around im heavily back into online playing.

all gamers are different i guess..
