The Million dollar question: Is it true that new members are not welcome on this Web site and this just a Web site for a privileged few who only tolerate newcomers? When you first build your first PC and you are full expectation then you find a web site like this to help and guide you to do better with your hobby. Then only to find the people here can not be bothered and told as much as to go away. "Just take a moment to think about that" how would you feel, gutted, rejected, or even worse depressed? What this site needs is a welcome mat for new members or a enema to say at least make it work.

P.S. AS someone on the TV Say's what do you think?????:(:(

*Looks at all the general hardware threads*

Nope... Everyone gets massive support there, no matter when they were signed up on the forum.

With over 100,000 members on this forum, we have all been new to this forum once. ;)

well i am new, and i will be honest i didnt get a warm welcome or a red carpet

But the help and advice i have had from the people on this site i will say is the best i can get.

they will answer any questions no matter how stupid you may think it is.

So maybe they don't make you a hot chocolate with marshmallows, but there help is the best!!!!

so THANK YOU guys.

I think new members get fairly treated, sometimes depends on the time of day your post / thread can get missed.

To be honest, you get help, then it descends in to the usual who thinks what CPU, GPU etc is better between the regulars.

Looking back at your previous posts I'd say you were a bit of an attention-seeker. New people are always welcome here, of course they are, but if people mouth off they are clearly not going to be liked.

Sorry you feel that way Zefan as they say "you can not please all of the people all of the time" As for everybody else who kindly taken time to reply to this thread i humbly thank you one and all.

I think this is a friendly forum where you can get help from some really knowledgeable people on whole variety of varying subjects. There is a decent age spread all things considered and on the whole people are pretty accepting and when they are not they get shouted down for it. These forums are kind of what you make of them. Offer something and you get something back, offer very little and well what can you expect.
