Hi

I got parts for my new PC and I have a query about installing a second HDD. There is a fan at the bottom of the case where the old hard drive was (I am using the same case from my old Pc) . Fitting the two drives together in the bay area where the fan is cant be done because if my graphics card. Its too wide and I connect the power supply cables into it. The only way I have been able to do it is by installing in a bay at the top where there is no fan and the drives are just over an inch apart from each other.

Are they okay where they are or is there a risk of overhearing as they are not next to the fan in the lower bay area? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem, they will not hear each other over their own whining!

Seriously - no problems should be expected, modern drives run very cool. My old build had 10 drives all with less than 3mm between them, and never had a problem with any of them :)
