Hi, I've just upgraded my monitor to a Dell 24inch 1900x1200. Though the monitor is great my pc is really outdated, 6800 gfx card etc.

So I was thinking about upgrading because its long over due and now Crysis is coming out I thought it would be a good time.

Trouble is im not sure if even the most cutting edge hardware is capable of running crysis at above resolution. Im guessing the Nvidia 9x series of cards should be out soon and im wondering if to wait for that tbh?

Any 1 with a decent rig running at 1900x1200? Are you pleased with the way it runs or are you counting the days till you can get a 9x gfx card to see it in all its glory?

Upgrade, a 8800gtx will pretty much eat anything out there (except crysis) @ that resolution

Im running crysis @ all medium and shaders @ very high and its a sweet ride :D

I can run it with everything very high but im looking @ 15 fps tops i recon ( no fraps just an estimate). allthough only 1 cpu core is taking the heat so mabye the finished game will be more optimised to give the extra boost i need.

Crysis already went gold I think? So this "pre-release" demo should be the final thing, as in the final code. I'm running it at 1680x1050 atm with an 8800 gtx and can only manage medium with a few things on High to get 20-35fps.
If you could I'd suggest waiting for the next gen, although they'd probably cost like £500
