Hi all,

I'm going to buy BF2142 when it coes out and I was going to pay for a pre order but the release date of this certain site says "Estimated release date: 10/11/06"

Is that the case or will I end up waiting longer to get the game as it may be in the shops by then?

Never pre ordered a game so I'm hoping someone here has and can tell me if it's worth it?

Cheers ;)

pre order when the release date is 100% confirmed otherwise you could be waiting a long time.

Surely it doesn't matter when you pre-order a game - the wait will still be the same?

Please don't ask for competitor details.

Sorry about that, but OCuk don't sell PC games do they????

If they did I would buy from them, like I buy 80% of my hardware from OCuk!

i wont pre-order it this early, rather wait until nearer the date.
thb it wont be that hard to obtain on the day of release, but with my exp of the tunning beta im losing my interest.

competitor?

i didnt realise OCUK were in the computer games retail industry?

He was asking for somebody to give details in the deleted post, and more than likely that site would have been a competitor that sells hardware and games etc.

I didn't acutally, but nevermind point taken :o
You asked to be contacted/told, so you did.

But anyway, I never personally bother with pre-orders, maybe a week in advance, but it's not as if the games are going to sell out really.

Personally i would wait and see if its as buggy as BF2 was on release, if so then i'd wait for the patches to arrive.

Otherwise i only pre-order if theres a price reduction.

If you preorder it in the US you get a 64Mb flash drive in the form of a dog tag, an in game rank unlock and money off hardware relating to the game.

We get a weapons "variation" unlock apparently :(

yeah but what i meant is that it could be delayed and you may want to spend the money on antother game in the meantime.
i have pre ordered many times with gameplay they dont charge you/take money from your account until the game is sent off in the post, i remember when GTA:SA came out for the PC i had pre ordered it months before its release and one day it showed up at my door i totally forgot about it lol.

Nice little suprize then :)

Many times there are some good prices to be had on pre-orders.
I pre-ordered Outrun Coast to Coast from 54321 as soon as it appeared on their website at the crazy price of £16.99 delivered.
They don't take the money until it ships and once it was released the price certainly increased (I was only charged my pre-order price).
