a 512Mb module of the Ballistix PC4000 to the pc in my sig? For £35.25 it seems too good an opportunity to pass up. Yeah I know it's B grade but one of my existing sticks was B grade and has worked fine for months so I'm, not too worried. My 2 x 512Mb are currently running in dual channel on 2.5, 3, 3, 11 @ 230FSB

I can't afford to upgrade to 2 x 1Gb and am getting peeved with the lack of smoothness that comes with newer games.

Is this going to make a (good!) difference or am I wasting my money?

I have used the search button but the threads I read were going on about 1T and 2T which confused me

I'm afraid if you don't want to know about 1t and 2t then you wont ever know the answer to your question. It TOTALLY depends on what agmes your playing. BF2 (Or any game which more or less requires more than 1gb)- add it. Any games which require bandwidth over actual amount of RAM, stick with the 1gb.

Ta for the replies

Still confused about this command rate thing...it's dependent on chipset and dual channel will give you 1T whereas single channel will give you 2T (?)

I'll go for it and see how I get on
