Is it worth buying second had cd player?

Been looking for a cd player. Found a old school Sony cd player on ebay for £50.

Is it worth buying second hand stuff?

Be careful with some old model Sonys as some parts are unobtainable (like lasers).

At the price those go for it doesn’t really matter that much if it goes bang.
May be worth seeing if parts are available though, although they may outweigh the cost of the player.
