Well i'm considering buying World of Warcraft, but its been 3+ years since release, is it worth getting into it now.. how long do u think it'll have left..

Thanks

yes, people reroll alts ALL the time, and theres always new servers being released where a lot of people reroll just for a fresh start, meet new people or go hardcore to be the "best" on that particular realm. Its a very good game, life eater mind, played for nearly 2 years myself and enjoyed every minute of it. Give it a good go, first 20 levels with all classes is mind numbingly boring, 40 onwards is great fun and the expansion packs 60 to 70 is AWESOME

I've just restarted myself after afew months break, I sold my char early last year and recently got the urge to play again, lvl 60(well 70 this time) #4 coming up!

You'll find WoW is still crawling with people.

it'll run just fine, if you really put some time in to it you could be doing the end game content in 2-3 weeks.

I really enjoyed 1-20 with my drenai warrior, im at 27 now, but found 20 upwards a bit of a slog so far.

I just got dragged into it recently, after resisting for a very long time. Seems pretty busy.

The big question on that laptop is what's the video card. WoW can run on pretty old hardware I think...

Well atm i have a:

2.8Ghz P4 procesor o/c to 3.06ghz
1gb Ram
200gb hdd
80gb hdd
Windows XP pro
GeForce 6600 AGP 256mb Graphics - not amazing i know.. :p

Why not just run it on that system?

as the expansion is under 6 months old and raised the level cap from 60 to 70, all the hardcore players havnt got the top gear yet so dont worry.

i started wow earlier this year and there are plenty of other low level players on.

About how many years left of WoW do u think they'll be. As in good gaming in WoW?

Well with the planned expansions by Blizzard, I can see wow going on for years. If I could find some way to get my girlfriend into it, I'd love to start playing again.

People will still be playing this well into the next decade I reckon. Btw I would recommend at least 1gb of RAM for WoW.

Have you tried just sitting her down in front of the game with a new character? That's what my boyfriend did with me - he started a human warlock on his account and let me play for a couple of hours. Most of the girls I've met in game have played casters or healers as their first character, so I'd recommend a priest, mage or warlock.

I created a trial account on US servers a few days ago (it wouldn't let me make an EU account at the time) and there are a fair number of players there even on my reportedly low populated server. Been grinding the way up to level 20 so far and getting to know the game world and stuff. Seems fun enough but I still don't see why millions of people flocked towards it.
