is it worth having 2 consoles?

In my house it works like this

Wii
Kids mainly play it, I'll play it everynow and then.
Great for when friends and family come round for a few drinks

XBOX 360
My gaming machine and definately the most played(At the moment)

PS3
At the moment mainly used for Hi-def viewing, and occasional gameplay

Dreamcast
Still gets played a lot

Would I get rid of any of them?, not a chance

If you can afford it, it's always worth having more than one console imo :)
I'm hoping to get a wii later in the year to go alongside the 360, but at the moment i'm regularly using a PS2 and N64 alongside the 360.

I suppose living with a bunch of students means social gaming is hugely important so the PS3 loses major points on that. I suppose I would view the consoles very differently if I played by myself a lot.

The PS3 is the only console in the house that doesn't get used for social gaming. All the others I have brought extra controllers for with the PS3 still having only the 1 controller. I've never really thought about it to be honested.

I'll admit when you have your mates round and you have had a few beers too many, the Wii is in a class of its own

hi

thanks for all the replys:)

i would just like to ask is it 100% that blueray has won the format war?

because ive got a toshiba hd player which is fairly new so would be dissapointed , but then i suppose if blueray does "win" i can get rid of the player and i have a empty shelf for a ps3:D

cheers

I'd bet a lot of money on it winning.

You can only readily get the 40Gb now, the 40 Gb has only 2 USB ports no card reader an no PS2 backwards compatibility. Check the PS3 faqs for more of an idea about the differences.
