Is it worth it to pay for a frame alignment check?

So I got an old (but still very much functional) bike that I’m planning to bring to this bicycle servicing London shop for some frame/forks alignment checking. But I just want to know, is paying for such service an ideal decision? Or should I do the check-up myself since I know a bit about bicycles and stuff, just to save money and gain more experience along the way?

Does the bike exhibit issues when riding? Is there evidence of damage?

What is it? Did you ask about frame/fork alignment? It seems like an odd thing to check at first, when was it last serviced?
