Hi all, Below is the spec of my media pc...

Antec Neo Power 480watt PSU
Gigabyte 73PVM-S2H MATX motherboard
Intel core 2 duo e4500 2.2ghz @ 2.4ghz
2 x 2gb Gskill DDR2
Pioneer blu-ray player/dvdrw drive SATA
ATA DVDRW drive
2 x 750gb Samsung F1's
2 x 1tb Samsung F1's
PCI express HD3450 graphics

What i want to do is have a speedy boot drive so was thinking of RAID 0 (currently have windows on one of the 750gigs), I cannot use any of the drive's i have currently as they are full and i have no way of backing them up, What i do have though is an XFX REVO64 5 port Raid card spare and a load of 200gb seagate 7200rpm Hard disk drives, I was thinking of maybe adding the REVO card and maybe 3 (or more) of the 200gigers in RAID 0 as my boot drive but not sure if my power supply will be up to it?

Would doing this speed things up like winrar unpacking?
Do you think my PSU can handle it?
Is there any tests i can do to test the stability of the PSU?

Thanks

I'm not entirely convinced you'd see enough improvement to make the hassle of setting it up worthwhile to be honest. But if you're just trying to make use of stuff you already have and don't want to spend any money then I would have thought your PSU would have been fine as you're not exactly stretching it with the rest of your system. A quick estimate over here rates your current setup at about 290W, so you should have plenty to spare.
