So pretty old now tbh.

I suppose if i hold out for the quad core it will be more future proof than the E6600.

I was going for an e4300 but I've read that the latest ones don't clock particularly well, not sure what to do yet, if ^^ that'd get me ~3.4ghz stable I'd be pretty happy.

Depends on if u can wait or not but id get a better cooler than a freezer 7 if your aiming for 3.2+
