Seem to have maxed out what my Q6600 GO can take on air, temperature wise.

Up to just over 3.4GHz (8 hours prime stable) with max temp under heavy load up to 65-70degC. Around 60-65 whilst gaming.

Just wondering if it would be worth investing in a water cooling system for the extra .5 or so GHz I would get out of it? Or wether my cash would be better spent elsewhere?

I have asked this question before, and the response was if you want to spend between £150-£200 for additional gain of .2-.4ghz then go ahead, but you will not see much difference in gaming....approx 1-2fps....so I am enjoying my system.

The decision is yours !!!! and no you cannot ask the audience, friend etc !!!!

you'll need decent water to get any more out of the chip - you're looking at spending £150 at least.

imo, £150 for 500mhz just isn't worth it :)

Personally i would'nt be happy with the 60-65 degrees while gaming. As already said though, £200 or so for an extra 2-400mhz (if you are lucky) is a lot of money to spend. If you watercooled the motherboard and graphics card at the same time it would make more sense.
