is it worth it?

If I upgrade then this is also the one and I believe the only one I would consider atm. I don't have the knowledge or experience to tinker with voltages yet. So unless I can get one of my mates round in the not too distant future to show me how I'll either stick with 3.2 on air (seems stable though it needs more voltage for around 3.3 and beyond it seems) or upgrade to this beauty.

I just replaced a B3 stepping Q6600 with a Q9550 E0 stepping (motherboard Gigabyte GA-X48 DS4).
It runs at 3.4Ghz (400Mhz FSB) with ease on default voltages, so need to tweak them at all. (prime stable 8 hours)

The highest core temp if seen so far at full load is 44C

The only problem i have now is. The room where the PC sits needs additional heating :D
An overclocked Q6600 (B3) is more like a room heater than CPU. :)

im considering upgrading the this aswell from my GO stepping..... TBH if i sell mine i will defo be getting one.

Me too would be nice bonus to get the new stepping however I would have to clock up to 4000Ghz plus still a little expensive for me after taking into consideration such a small gain in performance
