Is it worth it?

My mates at work all have PS3's and go on line after work and fight it out on these here collabrative games... I feel a bit left out, but have never been in to gaming, would it be any different with a PS3, or would I get bored and it all be a waste of money?

Thoughts.....?

Well, I would say go around to one of your mates places and give it a go, I certainly wouldn't advise spending several hundred pounds on something you aren't 100% sure you will get your moneys worth from.

I did ask one of them to lend me their console, there was a hushed silence in the office, followed by everyone trying to change the subject!!!!!

Call Of Duty is one of them

Suppose the other problem is buying a game I hardly use, then soon after having to buy another one just to keep up with them...

If you don't play games you also use it as a blu-ray player, web browser etc

But it will be a more expensive option and won't justify the cost.

I'd see if you can find someone who'd let you play on there PS3 for a while and see how you like it..

the plus side to Ps3 is that is does have a fairly large catalog of games across all genres, offers blu ray playback and is a fairly decent media player...

But, £250 + for you to end up getting bored of it, i'd go and find a mates Ps3 and have a go with one first....

Yes, You can play iplayer and the 4od and the itv player on it.

Not to forget the lovefilm player and the Muvi video player, love film is pretty nice imo, with more films adding weekly. I would suggest having a try first, but im sure you wouldnt regret the purchase anyway.

The fact you have to ask means you'll probably get bored quicker than someone who at least fancied the idea of owning a games console.
