Hi,

I am building a new PC and i am thinking of getting a new 3D monitor (maybe the Acer HN274Hbmiiid 27") which comes with the Nvidia 3D Vision glasses.

My question is. Is it worth it? I love playing games and especially shooting games. Will the difference be that much? Will it be worth the extra cash?

Games i mostly play or will play are Crysis 2, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Stracraft II etc

I also enjoy watching movies. (i also have a PS3 and i suppose i can use the 3D monitor here as well).

Suppose you had the money, would you go for it? Do you know whether the above monitor i mentioned is good enough?

Thank you.

personally i wouldnt, even if i had the cash, not enough games are full 3d, and even if they were, they would not be designed to give you an advantage as that is unfair

personally i think the uptake of 3d is so slow that manufacturers arent selling enough to keep their 3d production lines open and it will just dwindle to a close - but that is just a personal opinion of mine

if you have the money, play games that use 3d and have a good enough video card then go for it

Before saying anything else i would like to thank "panyan" because he seems to care and responds to almost all my questions in this forum. Thank you.

Coming back to my question, i really do not care whether 3D games will give me any advantage compared to other players playing in 2D.

What i want to know is whether 3D gaming gives you that extraordinary experience. I don't know if you understand me (mind you, English is not my mother language so please forgive me if i make any mistakes).

For example....if i play Crysis 2 in 3D .....is it so much better compared playing it in 2D???? Or any other new game like Battlefield 3?

Thank you again

i personally cant see 3d that well, it doesnt really work with me so i wouldnt

i think that you need to try it to find out really, nobody knows if it will give you that experience apart from you
