I currently have a 960t unlocked to x6, rocking out at 3.8 in a Asus Sabertooth mobo. Paired with 2x6950 in xfire and 12gb 1600 8-8-8-24-2T.

Is it worth spending the 150ish notes on the 8320? Notice any significant gains over the 960?

All the PC is really used for is BF3 now-a days tbh.

Thanks is advance!

you will get a improvement in FPS I did from my 1075t to 8320.

If its worth the Cash thats up to you.

Think i got about 10 / 15 fps improvement in BF3

Do you run it with vsync at all? you have a pretty tasty card...

10/ 15? Is that all? Might wait till the price drops then...! Or at least till there is something it cant do. Apart from menues etc i get a constant 59.9fps on ultra.

can't remember tbh. if ur getting 59fps now and onyl have a 60hz monitor then you won't notice any difference then.

For rendering and things like that I got a massive improvement.

Oh well, i'll deffo wait then. Dont do any of that, barely have time to play the games!!

I take it you are talking singleplayer or vanilla maps only on multiplayer..I am at solid 60 99% of the time in vanilla maps but B2K and others push my minimums down to about 45-55 on the rare occasion.

I think that it is the CPU rather than GPU struggling at those points.

Oh 960T unlocked to 6 core @ 4Ghz with a GTX580 @ 870 core.

No - im talking expansions (not played the vinalla for ages!) I do see it very rarely drop to 45/55 for a split second. Usually when im dead though..?

Also what did you do for 4ghz? mine gets a 'little' warm over 3.8.

The expansions for BF3 don't half push the system that's for sure! Just wait it out, you're happy. You won't see an increase as you've already said you're hitting 60fps.

As you're already starting to think about upgrading, why not start saving now until your computer is seriously struggling THEN upgrade? Those are my intentions with the system I have at the minute, once I see it struggle I'll sell it in parts + add savings = upgrade to the best thing at the time.

Ok decision made. Waiting it is.

i am very interested in your 4ghz though Raider!
