my main pc is an 800mhz p3 with 1gb dd ram. i'm thinking of upgrading now things have moved on a bit. will i see a big boost if i went to an i7 930? and will it fit in my existing motherboard without upgrading my cpu cooler? Also will i need a new psu as mine is 160w

Having a 2700k @ 5.2Ghz @ 1.38V seems about as likely as you having the above

yeh ok i was bored. i do however have my 2700k at 1.38 at 5.2 and it runs perfectly
