Ay-up guy's and girls(if any:P )
purchased some parts of a mate before xmas, and never got around to doing anything with them
List of parts are:
ASUS Mobo
Athlon XP 2600+
1GB PC3200 DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128MB (could be 256mb I canne remember, I'll check when I get in)
300GB ATA133 HDD
MOBO specs are http://uk.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=13&l3=56&l4=0&model=216&modelmenu=2

Just thinking,is it worth making something out of the above,or not?
Overclock the CPU would be an option,or just upgrade the CPU alltogether

any idea's chaps?
cheers :)

intended use will be...errr...not sure really

My pc at the mo is an all rounder, play some games(old skoolers such as COD2 Max payne Red faction etc)

This one would be for Overclocking.testing things and media pc probably

Yeah.. Use it to test different distro's configs etc. Thats what I do with one of my old K7's

Someone online was asking why he couldn't get his usb network dongle working with Mandriva.. So I installed it and had a play..

You can read about it in... THIS THREAD if you so desire.

Actually, could run linux/ubuntu on the other machine i suppose.or dual boot with xp an Ubuntu

Other option was selling GFX mobo and Processor and keeping the H/Drive for my home pc
