is it worth this upgrade???

Hi guys,

Im seriously considering getting a 780 gpu.

At the moment im running a 7950 @ 1200/1600 on 1.2v.

I mostly play Alan Wake, Battlefield 3, Supreme Commander 2 and Fifa 13.

I am looking at the new games due to be released later this year and im worried my 7950 wont cope.

So what do i do? Upgrade now and sell my 7950 with waterblocks now while its worth something or wait and see how it gets on on the new games and make my decision then?

The rest of my rig is

MSI Z77 Mpower
2600k @ 4.5Ghz
16gb Mpower RAM

Yeah its going great i love it, i just cant help thinking i should cash in on it while demand for it is still quite high.
The 780 works out quite expensive when you add water blockes etc etc.

I completely understand where you're coming from. You'll get a nice amount back for it, particularly since they do well at mining. I can also see merits for both; either keep until too slow, or sell when value is higher, though I very often tend to find it difficult (personally that is) to justify selling / 'fixing' something when it 'ain't broke'. Neither option looks a bad bet to me.
