Is it worth up grading to windows 7

Am going to be instaling a new hdd, and i was wondering is it worth upgrading my os. At the mo am using vista 64 ultimate.

Not really unless you want to. Most of us upgraded as we liked it rather than needed it and got it at £50 or less.

I personally think it is but it's just my opinion. Windows 7 is much more slicker and not so intrusive. It means too that my Anti-virus can update without UAC intervention.

I use my pc for many gaming. with the od bit of web looking.

From a fully patched, service packed, etc. version of Vista, probably not.

I think the update is worth it

Get Home Premium for £75 whilst you can (doesn't have remote desktop server or domain joining)

If you have the spare cash, I'd go for it.
I just find it nicer to use. You certainly don't need it though.

you dont need, but its nice to have if you want it and can afford it

I'd check if the programs you use day to day work on 7 before you buy it. I've had to dual boot with Xp to run my guitar port / recording software and GT Legends
