Is it worth upgrading from a PG278Q ROG Swift 27" to the PG348Q ROG Swift 34" ?

Save yourself some money and go for the acer x34, you are just paying for the ROG branding otherwise.

And yes, 100% worth it but..... for the cost of upgrading, imo probably not, but that is down to you really.

Pros of upgrading:

- IPS so better colours, slightly higher contrast ratio, no contrast shift/great viewing angles + a lighter anti glare finish so the screen will pop more and not have a haizy/grainy look
- 34" 21.9 aspect ratio provides incredible immersion that no <32" 16.9 screen can provide and of course the 3440x1440 + 21.9 is great for productivity, films amongst other things

Everything you need to know about 21.9 is in this thread:

I look up some reviews of both of them..

But I have in my head thinking of going for the Asus one at the moment but I see if that changes after reading some reviews..

They both use the exact same panel so the main difference is just the styling/design of the monitor. QC seems to be about the same from reading around and CS might be better with ASUS.

Yep they are the same. I have had the Asus since mid Feb, brother has x34 and both identical in terms of experience. Mainly the aesthetics and on screen display that differ. Not really worth the premium unless you want the ROG asthetics (I did :p) . Get a solid panel ( I.e both go to 100hz, no major whine / dead pixels etc) and you will be golden.

From reading around, you have to be pretty lucky to get the 100HZ, most have to settle with 95HZ which isn't really an issue tbh, I think the asus are more guaranteed to get to 100HZ though.

But that asus stand is ugly and it takes up so much room for such a simple task :( I know.. subjective opinion
