Is it worth upgrading from a Ryzen 7 1700 to a 3700x

Currently have a Ryzen 7 1700 but have been looking at the 3700x recently.

Is it worth the upgrade and would I see a notable difference?

What are the rest of your specs? Are you finding that your current chip is struggling?

Dont think my MSI X370 is compatible with the 5600x.

This. The 5600x prices are the issue. Quite a lot of 3900x around for similar prices, but if you focus on gaming, the 5000 series should be your choice.
