I am thinking of upgrading, but I am unsure do I realy need to.

My settings are:

Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SABERTOOTH Z77 (LGA1155)
BenQ XL2420T (1920x1080@120Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti (MSI)
750W Corsair PSU.
4x 840 EVO drives.

I am a COD, BF4, and LoL fan and play these games on daily basis. I don't notice any FPS drops, surely higher FPS means a lot to me. I haven't tried the Ultra settings I have always left it to game to decide what is best for me.

I saw few games coming out in the near future and noticed that they are already asking for 660ti and higher. On many occasions I havent seen that there are huge CPU needs. My CPU is overclocked to 4.4Ghz, stable at 40 degrees.

I put this case together around 3 years ago, few things are out of warranty as far as I know.. Do i need an upgrade? I am thinking leaving everything and getting something like 970-980ti..but what about motherboard and CPU?

It sounds as though you are perfectly happy with it at the moment so I wouldn't bother upgrading yet. It's pointless buying today's tech just in case future games don't run as well when if you wait until the time actually comes there will be better cards available for the same money. Especially right now when new cards are only a couple of months away.

I am happy how it works, but there's always something better outside which I know there is. I havent changed anything for years and that's kind of bothering me, that I could be outdated..:)

It's fine for now, We are on the verge of major gpu changes so at least wait until the new gen cards in your price range get released. That way you'll get a much better end result than buying something today.

Most I'd do at the moment is get a 2nd hand 290x or something. Exciting changes on the upcoming GPUs and the first node jump in a while. Wait til next gen before spending any serious cash if your not suffering right now.

Your CPU is fine. I'd upgrade the GPU once Pascal/Polaris come out. GTC is just a little over 2 weeks away now, so hopefully we should get some news regarding Nvidia's next generation of cards then.
