Is it worth upgrading to Vista yet?

To cut a long story short, my Mom needs a copy of XP so I said that I might give her my retail copy of XP Home and purchase the retail version of Vista Home Premium 32-Bit & 64-Bit.

I looked on the net for the upgraded drivers for some of my hardware but could only find beta drivers and in some cases(Soundblaster 2 ZS) none at all. This put me off getting it somewhat.

So I ask you this. Are the drivers for my hardware(in sig) available and do they work sufficiently until better ones are released? Also, how long do you think it will be before better drivers are out?

Thank you.

Hunders how many hard drives have you got?

What im doing is buying another hard drive getting the Home Prem Version 64bit and dual booting the O/S, then you have best of both worlds :)

I would say yes !

I have everything working, It great Its class, It rules !!

Got my OEM from OCUK today and not had a problem yet

Only plump for x64 if you know what you are doing pc/driver wise

If not go 32-bit, its just as good

 WOO HOO 500th post !

Yeah your right, me too,

I can only hope that creative have drivers ready for the official release on the 30th. With APPS and evrything included.

Im tempted to remove my X-fi for a week and see if i actually notice a difference.. :p

lol, just had to remove my SB Live! to make space for an X1950 and bizarrely my PC now sounds much better using onboard. Ah well.
