Is it worth upgrading yet...?

I posted some time ago about this but am wondering if now is the time to upgrade from my 2GB GTX560Ti.

It's handled pretty much everything I've thrown at it so far but now I'm playing Bioshock Infinite, I do see some dips and think my card isn't man enough to handle it on Very High/Ultra (Very High does run quite respectably actually but not as well as I'd like).

Is it worth upgrading yet, and is it possible to get something with a tangible boost without breaking the bank (I don't want to spend silly money, about £300 would be nice).

Would getting another GTX560Ti be a better bet or is SLI still problematic?

Tried overclocking your card?

I've seen some decent overclocks on these cards.

I'm already running it at 950MHz, any more than that and I tend to get CTD/lockups on the odd occasion. I don't want to ramp up the voltage too much in all honesty! They are good cards and I've been happy with it, but I'm just getting the itch for MOAR performance. It's probably the weakest link in the rig :)

In that case, if it's not fast enough in games I'd look at a 7950 - preferably one that isn't voltage locked (not sure which aren't now).

I would not say it is worth upgrading, going from Ultra to Very High on bioshock, the 560ti is a decent card when OC'd and will easily do for another bit, just expect to have to drop the graphics a little in some games.

Could be worse, you could have the 1gb version like my mate lol.

I also agree it would be the weakest part in your build, as the 2500k is a solid CPU.

Seems like any GTX*60 card clocks like a beast, I can push my GTX260 to 760mhz before it starts to artifact heavily.

Cheers chaps... funnily enough Bioshock Infinite runs a lot better now I've tweaked some settings, so it seems there's life in the old girl yet. :)

Yes, I'm glad the 2GB version was recommended to me! :D
