Is it worth using 2 firewalls?

I have the built-in WinXP firewall enabled (+MSE). Is it worth also using a dedicated firewall (such as ZoneAlarm) or would that just be pointlessly wasting resources?

(on a netbook btw).

One software firewall should be enough. I've heard two can conflict.

You shouldn't run more than one firewall, they could conflict with each other and possibly cause your computer to freeze. The same applies for anti virus programs.

Personally i would recommend comodo's firewall, which is free and a lot better than the windows xp firewall.

Using the built in one will be fine assuming your using either XP/Vista/7. Don't bother running two just a waste of resource.

If you access the internet via a new(ish) router you will probably have have 2 anyway. 2 software firewalls are likely to conflict. Most third party firewalls will actually disable windows firewall as part of the installation

I chug away behind two firewalls - my router's and Comodo.
