Is it worth waiting for a 990?

I started my research a few weeks ago for my next "big" upgrade, basically a new 4K gaming system.

However, the last component I cannot make my mind up about is the graphics card and the chatter about VRAM.

I can't decide to go for 970/980 Sli or wait to see what the Ti versions or 990 have in store.

Have there been any solid specs leaked yet? Will be get an 8GB version of the 980 or 990?

Bit the bullet, ordered two 970's

Current spec in sig, new spec is...

i7 5960X Haswell-E / 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz / GTX 970 4GB Sli

You won't be short on performance with that spec which 970s did you go for in the end?
