Is there something wrong with me?

I dont like clubbing, does this make me a weird person? I'd rather go to a pub with friends and chill and drink and not go to a club and stand on a dance floor all night, I also dont like dancing.

Is it wrong?

It's not wrong, but avoiding clubbing entirely can limit your opportunities to mix with your friends and meet new people when you're young, at least.

I don't know, I also feel the same way, hate clubbing/not being able to hear myself think (due to music volumes) as well. End of the day it's up to you what you like/don't like.

I'm slightly older now and haven't been clubbing in ages. Though thing is there are very few clubs in Liverpool, mostly bars/pubs with a slight dance floor.

Nope nothing wrong with it, ive never really saw the point of going to a club with just friends, where the only reason is to meet an alcohol filled girl and do stuff.

When you go with a girlfriend though, thats different, thats when the fun begins.

Yes you're obviously a disturbed person for not liking clubbing. :o

Different strokes and all that but I love clubbing, my mate is more like you, I was introducing girls to him so they'd coerce him into dancing and he just brushed them off.

I just cant help thinking my flatmates are going to think I am weird not liking clubs, 2 girls go clubbing and they said I should go with them, I dont have shoes and I know you need them to get in, but I dont want to go cause I dont like clubbing and besides I know no one yet so why they go on the dancefloor pulling I'd be on my own and I dont like been on my own especially in a massivly built up crowded area. I wish they liked pubs :\

I've just moved to Manchester and know no one really, hoping there is some sane people in my course at college that I will get on with who will like chilling out/ good pubs and are not total chavs.

It took me a while to realise that

a] I hate clubs
b] I hate the music in clubs

When I was younger it was the cool thing to do to go clubbing. A lot of the time people wouldn't even know what music was at the club they were going to, as long as they were going.

Then one day I thought, "why am I doing this? I hate these places" and never went again. People looked down on me because I wasn't being cool, so I opted out of that friends group.

I love gigs though, and go several times a month especially at this time of year.

Nope, I'm exactly the same. Even though I'm 32 I was never into clubbing really, except when I was at university. To be honest, I'd much rather have a couple of coffees and shoot the breeze with some mates... which we do regularly so thats ok :D

No it's not wrong, some people like doing other things. I have mates who don't particularly like clubbing, but i do.

For me it's the pub for social chat and club for getting wrecked.

EDIT:
When you go with a girlfriend though, thats different, thats when the fun begins.

A drunken lover's tiff that ends in her storming off in tears and you having to spend the next week making it up to her? Hmmm.... ;)

I have always hated clubbing. They're usually full of idiots who can't handle their drink, out to show off their new white trainers or new jeans that came with sandpaper.
I still endure it on occasions though because most of my friends do it. I find that drinking myself into inebriation makes it bareable.

I'm much more at home at a rock/metal gig for musical kicks or propping up a bar if out for a drink.

tbh i bloody hate clubbing. Most clubs are all the same crap with the same people doing the same stupid things every weekend !!

I dont get why people say it will limit you chances to mix with your friends. Doesnt effect me at all. I still go out plenty with my friends.

Clubbing doesnt have to be a means to an end

I'm 20, hate clubbing tbh..

Rather sit down the pub or go to a gig.

From time to time, when i've been in the pub with a group of mates had a few, i get the urge to go clubbing, but i'd never ever go sober! clubbing drunk is 1000x more fun!

I like clubbing occasionally, and it's normally rock clubs as I know and like the music.

Went to a few 'trendy' nightclubs in my teens but frankly, couldn't stand them. Hate not being able to have a conversation and frankly I'm totally intolerant of what I consider bad music. I struggle to enjoy myself if I feel like I'm being sonically raped. Probably why I didn't enjoy the DnB or Gabba nights I've been too. :p

I've got a mate who does that, just stands on the dance floor, or stands at the edge of it. We've always thought of him as weird, but i guess that's just cause all us lot love clubbing... he's not much of a drinker either...
