Is itpossible to do this in Thunderbird

Hello this might not be possible, but I'm just wondering....

When in my Mozilla Thunderbird client, and I delete an email, is it possible so that when deleated in the client, it deleates it off my mail server?

As it is a pain when I have to delete the mail manually of the mail server evertime I log in.

You can make it so that when you download the email from the server it is deleted, (and you have a local copy).
Without extra software deleting it of the server when you deleted it locally isn't possible using POP (you would need to use IMAP which google doesn't support)

Log into gmail (www.gmail.com) go to settings, Forwarding and POP and change 'When messages are accessed with POP '.
