Yes. He is reknowned for being one of the most stupid footballers ever.

There used to be a famous story about him, Ruddock and a Pizza place? Something like that. Long time.
 
saw him at a talk in when he played for Sunderland and he was quite funny and charming.

Q. "What would you be if you hadn't been a proffessional footballer?"

I remember a story about him where he locked his keys in his car, the AA bloke came round and asked me if he had a coathanger to get them out, and he came back with a wooden one. :p

they had razor ruddock on as well and he told a few of them including that one. (was a policeman not AA. :) )

jimmy white goes into a pub and he shouts out 'jimmy onnee hundred and eiiighty'.

I believe the pizza one is where McAteer asked for a Pizza, the waiter gave it to him and asked if he wanted it cut into 4 or 8 pieces, to which he replied something like "better make it four, as I'm not too hungry and 8 might be too much"

Slightly off topic but I remember Rio Ferdinand in his West Ham days scoring a beautiful own goal because he mentally forgot that teams switch sides after half time.

Cue him running off celebrating while all his team mates are pondering "Oh rly?"
