Is Kodi the best solution for showcasing audio content??

My dad is looking to get hold of something to play his music library through his TV and I was wondering whether Kodi was the best option to give him the "eye-candy" in terms of browsing CD art, artist information and lyrics etc?

I use Kodi for my video content but don't have much of an interest in music so I wasn't sure if there was a more suitable "front-end" to play music through? (for instance, I don't know how good the "scraper" is for music in terms of identifying tracks etc??)

My plan is to go with a RPI2 with OpenElec installed on either an SD card or a USB stick.

Any suggestions welcome!

JRiver looks very nice from the footage I've seen on YouTube but am I right in saying it's circa $60??

Does it offer anything over and above the free Kodi??
