Is lipstick good or not?

Guys and girls,

Is lipstick attractive to you? Personally I find it OTT, lip gloss however can make a girl look great. I told my good female friend that she looks silly wearing it (she's mixed raced, and was wearing red lipstick) and told her to wear some brownish lip gloss which looks great on her. But she still thinks lip stick is nice..

So OCUK, what's your opinion?

See I agree that lip gloss on white girls looks chav, but on mixed raced/asian etc girls it looks great.
But I still think lipstick on a white girl can look OTT, and just odd on darker skinned girls.

Too much of either or in funny/too bright colours is chavvy for me. Little bit of either (discrete) is ok.

Subtle lipstick = win.
Bright red lipstick = lose on all but a select few.

i hate most makeup but more then most is probably lipstick and gloss. don't understand the attraction of make up tbh, it's like hey look at what i look like with a mask on, yeah im attractive even though this isn't me. Actualy saying the stuff i don't like is the make up that covers ugly, the stuff that is to just enhance say your eyes (but it must be very small amounts anyway) looks ok.
