Is magners more fattening than carlsberg?

Well, as the title says ???

Its just ive taken a real shine to Magners and ice and have just poured one only to be informed by my girlfriend "thats really fattening you know" :mad:

Now im no fatty but should I be worried about it?
 
As far as I know cider is pretty high in calories... a pint of beer is 200calories, cider has 300. That's just off the top of my head, you're best googling it!
I just read in the mirror today that Magners cider was so popular in the UK during the summer demand for the 6months was 250% up on the previous period.

If i remember cider has more calories than larger.
The best option is vodka and diet coke.

Although you can get Magners Light which has fewer calories.

here you go:

Magners: 210 Kcal / pint
Magners light: 130Kcal / pint

Thats a reasonably proper tasting cider I'm into atm, much better than your nasty skanko weak White Lightning 'Magners' stuff.
 
Magners doesnt have much taste at all IMO ... its decent, very smooth, but i much prefer blackthorn or proper scrumpy ;)

I dont mind beer, lager or cider...

I cant stand crap lager (ie Fosters, Carlsberg) ... worst stuff othe lot... actually white cider / cheap super strength lager is but meh :p

I like Magners. In Australia they had Mercury which was quite nice. They also had Strongbow which was pretty mucky. It had a fake, sour acidic taste (oh, i mean a crisp apple taste), and apparently was made with 10% peach juice. Or maybe pear juice... either way, it's nasty and best avoided!

Magners is good as a refresher on a sunny afternoon. But I do like a pint of proper scrumpy.

Agreed, Fosters, Carlserg, crap lager, but I really like Kronebourg. However, I just can't understand the attraction to Stella, it's vile.

Besides, in the summer when it's hot, pint of magners with lots of oice is spot on!

I don't understand why the Cypriots love Carlsberg so much :/ They have much nicer lager there... such as Keo and Leon. Bah more for me! :cool:
