Got bloody malware annoying me and I can't seem to start malwarebytes and wanted to redownload it...

The malware seems to be cancelling all binary files I try to download. :\

Rainmaker, thanks very much still doesn't let me download though because it's an exe file. I can download isos just going to use the bit defender online scan and see how I fare from there.

I know what file it is but can't get rid of it due it to it being in the registry and won't delete at all.

I'll try and download from a new browser, seems firefox process is getting bombed.

Edit - Rainmaker could you maybe put the exe into an archive or zip file? Maybe I could download it then.

My theory was right, I could download the .zip file but not any binary files. Every rkill one just cancelled instantly if I retried it would say it was downloading at 15MB/s. :\

I just got a scan done now, 6 infected items at first did another full scan - said there was none. Just going to check if that's true.

Edit - Nope still can't download binary files, need to find a zipped version of ccleaner and hopefully that'll do the trick.

Have you tried a virus scanner?

I have done yeah Avira! :)

Update - I managed to install malware bytes in safe mode and run a scan, 6 infected files were found. Mostly in the registry and system 32, the computers seems a lot snappier now at least. I'm running avira just now for reassurance to see if there's any left.

Update - Still can't run malwarebytes in normal windows enviroment. :\

Must be still stuck in the registry. And I need to download in .zip format. Rainmaker or anyone else able to host ccleaner in .zip format? I hate to ask but such a pain. Thanks guys.

No you've helped a lot rainmaker, thank you very much. And don't worry I'm not so narrow minded as to blame you. :p

Ccleaner might have done the trick hopefully. Just doing a memory overwrite. That plus it got rid of the funky start up process called omononono or something. lol

Yeah I'll do a run of that plus malwarebytes again. Here's hoping!

Update - Ccleaner is a surprisingly effecient tool! Nailed the registry problems, destroyed the weird .dll start up. Wiped pretty much all the temp files that was clogging up the system.

Rainmaker, that dr web .iso doesn't have any .exe or files that I know how to use. :p
