Seems like it .he hasn't showed up at the world cup at all. Offers no leadership whatsoever and hasn't adapted his game and keeps trying to do things as if his 21

For me his done. The decline begins and definetly Ronaldo is a far better player then Messi

Messi is a quality player and a great dribbler of the ball - he can keep the ball close to him and change direction quickly because of his short stride/legs. Lets face it though, you could have put any footballer in the Barcelona team of the last 10 years and they would have looked half decent. Messi had an exceptional group of players around him which helped him to create chances and play with a lot of freedom.

It's similar to Rooney playing in midfield for me, he pulled it off all of those years at Man UTD largely because of the players around him and generally inferior opposition, once you put him in a team that is not so good (ie. England or Everton) he's bang average there. I'm not saying Messi is a bang average player just that in order to excel he had a lot of support from the rest of the team.
I think Henry was better than Messi!

Technically anyone could play any position. However they wouldn't do anywhere near as well as someone who plays it day in and day out , there are exceptions like milner.

For example defenders play in a line to play offside trap.

If you stick Di Maria in defence he would constantly be out of position as he's just not used to playing. Also he would be terrible at tackling, diving in with no regard as he can do that when hes further up the field but you need control at the back.

Sure some players do play out of position but do they do as well as their regular position.

Bendtner is crap so I have never seen him do well up front so him doing not much out wide probably is on par with him playing up top.

Id like to see Messi playing in defence just lol.

Technically Schumacher could also change a tyre however his best position was in the driver's seat. You aren't going to have the mechanics team up and say oh Schumacher your having an off day maybe we let the tyre guy drive the car and you change tyres for the Monaco grand Prix.

Technically yes that is possible. But only an idiot would think it's a good idea.
mate changing a tyre vs diving is more like a on field player vs the groundsman
