after going in to bios tonight and saving the setting my system restarted then i had windows desktop on my screen 4 times (hanns g 28"), so it looked just like i had 4 little monitors, does anyone know if its my monitor that has had it and i need to get a new 1, any help greatly appreciated.

Try a new cable or give the connectors on the one you have a bit of a wiggle.

A friend had a similar problem.

I told them to swap monitors and the problem went away.

They swapped the monitor back again and the problem had magically disappeared.

It must have been a cable/connector issue and disconnecting and re-connecting it sorted it out.

thats makes no difference as when i just turn the monitor on it also has 4 screens telling me that there is no signal from gpu, not happy has i have had to resort back to a crappy 17" mon :(

email Hanns G, they were pretty good when my 2.5yr HD281D started failing last year.

after a few emails they replaced it with a refurb and took the broken one back
