Is my 290x kaput?

The screen has been flashing a bit lately but now there is no picture. The lightening sign on the side of the GPU now goes straight to red.
Everything seemed fine but did do a windows update the other day and this seems to be after that. Coincidence?
Can't undo the update as can't see the screen.

can you get into bios since that doesnt need any gpu drivers. if you get image in bios then good chance its just windows borking itself.

sounds like the same issue im having. I'll be replacing mine either way bit i dont wonder if something can be dine to fix this problem.

I tried to get into bios but nothing. Seems strange it was fine till that update. When the card was crashing it flashed up something to do with AMD drivers.

Anyway I'm now wondering whether to get an Xbox and sack the PC off.
