Next to the ketchup...
Right this has happaned 3 times so far today, and countless times every other day for the last week or so, my 360 keeps turning on, completly of its own accord....

Have taken the batterys out of both controllers, and unplugged the network cable, but it still keeps doing it. just boots up and sits there on the main blade. I know its not a major issue, i just dont want it sitting on all night, keep getting up in the morning and finding it whirring away to its self, and I dont want to have to unplugg it every night and every time I finish on it.

Mine used to do that for months straight until I unplugged the USB keyboard I had attached to it. You have anything of that sort connected?

Nope disconnect everything that was plugged in, has been like that for the last hour and has come on twice lol

Could it be another wireless device that you have which is interfering?

If not it's most likely just a manufacturing defect, not exactly uncommon. ;)

Bit random but has only been doing it since I got sky back, wonder if the remote is doing anything to it will try all the buttons quickly lol

Nope Not the sky remote, no body else got a 360 round here, all old people that leave near me, unless some OAP 360 action is going on....

I think a better title for your thread would be "Is my 360 broken?" :)

Seriously though, just call Microsoft support You seem to have tried all the obvious things. Obviously you don't want it on all night as you could well wake up to an RROD one morning.

...but then how many of us would have read this? ;)

Actually, this reminds me of when I first set up my 360 and it would keep booting up (seemingly) at random... then I realised that by default the 360 also accepts the same IR frequency as the Windows Media Center remote.

Don't forget, there is an idle time shutdown option, which should reduce the powered up hours till you get this thing sorted...
