Is my 570 up to the job?

Hi guys,

Currently play BF3 with everything set to High bar Texture Quality which is Ultra. AF is on 16x, and AA Deferred is set to High.

It plays wonderfully in 1680x1050. Nice and smooth, no slowdowns, no framerate lag - perfect.

However I'm going to move to a new monitor soon and its likely I'll be moving up to 1920x1080. Looking at reviews it seems the performance hit for my card is quite significant. I'm concerned it won't be able to run as smoothly as it does now.

What do we think? Rest of my spec is as per sig.

If it won't, whats the most cost effective way to fix this? Buy another GTX570 for SLI, or sell it and buy a GTX 660Ti or similar?

I play BF3 almost all highest with a GTX 480 and have no issues. I can't remember if what you've posted means actual AA or not. If it does then switch that off and just use an injector. AA kills BF3 fps in my experience.

Using a 570 myself here on a 1920x1080 monitor with everything on high bar the AA and is a smooth playing experience on the 64 player maps :)

Sounds good then. When the time comes am I best getting rid of it, or will adding another in SLI see a useful performance boost at this resolution?

Personally I've never had any issues with SLI, I've had three different SLI setups now.

Scaling is generally very good now, although of course you have two graphics cards eating up power.
