is my 7870 dead?

I was overclocking my 7870 when I had to lleave my computer for about 15 mins. I had left it on the Projext Cars Mainmenu thinking it wouldn't be an issue but when I got back the scren was black and the GPU fan was loud, like it is when the gpu drivers fail and then come back because of too much overclock. However the drivers obviously hadnt recovered that time...

The overclock had failed a few times (I was working my way back in 10MHz increments from 1175MHz as that was the first failed oc when I wad going up in 25MHz increments) so I wasn't too worried but now nothing will run even at stock clocks. All games and benches crash in under a minute... have I killed my card?

Menus on some games really stress cards!.

Dow 2 has no vsync and on menus cards can go mental.

The best way to stop this happening is force vsync whenever you can.

The card could be dead as they can go past 1000 fps sometimes, its really dumb imo.
