Is my 7950 dead ?

Hi there
I have a MSI 7950

This morning my pc totally shut down, and it would not boot up. After stripping every component down, I realised it's my graphics card: I replaced it with my old 4890 and it powers normally.

What's happening ? Is my 7950 (almost new) really dead ? Should I contact RMA ?
